The sound of footsteps echoed,
thousands of weapons,
the robots drew much closer.

The final battle...

But wait... where are the warships?

I like it, the last sentence gives it a very strange twist. I have to think about it a little more...

:-) S. Johan Nilsson replies: "Well, well... Glad you liked it! I reckon one can interpret the last sentence in any way one wants to."

:-) S. Johan Nilsson replies: "Well, what can I say? You don't have to like my poems, that's perfectly OK with me. But there's no reason to be rude. I would like some constructive critics, instead of this pile of rubbish."

I don't particularly care for haikus in general, but this was great! You can imagine some general facing this gigantic army and then thinking . . . I did give *my* army there orders, right?

:-) S. Johan Nilsson replies: "*smiles* Thanks, Kathryn! That's exactly the image I had in my head when writing this poem."

That was good, funny, I pictured this massive fleet and an army below gathering for a titanic battle, and then someone goes... wait a tic, where’s the enemy? And everyone packs up and goes home... nicely done =)
